Having a garage and a lift is a game changer. My first house had no garage and I removed and rebuilt 2 motors in my Chevelle back in the 80’s. Cracked concrete drive and wheels on hoist did not work well together. Then block on engine stand on back porch for rebuild. Rode my motorcycle to work, rain and shine for the week or so it took to do all that. Also removed the trans a few times with car on jack stands. Was fortunate to borrow a transmission jack which made it a bit easier but the cracked concrete made it awkward. Good luck with the rebuild

I drove up to Ernst Conservation Seed in Meadville today to pick up some seed mix for my son. It’s a great operation with high quality seed offerings. Whether you are planting food plots, riparian sites, pollinator- friendly sites, wetlands sites or any other conservation sites, they have seed for the site. Their website and full-color catalog contain lots of pictures and information on site prep and maintenance and plant/shrub/tree species.

Finished cutting my lawn and the next door neighbors who had knee surgery. Packing up the truck tonite, headed back up to camp in the morning thru Sunday. Another nice forecast for autumn olive clearing work project. Last week I started old 1999 Polaris a few times then just wouldn’t try to kick over. Buddy checked the spark earlier today, says it’s weak so I bought a plug to take up. He brought his old Suzuki King Quad up so in addition to my Grizzly we have 3 now. 3 more chances of mechanical trouble😆
Perseid Meteor showers are expected for the next week ,pretty dark at camp and we have a large telescope. Should be interesting .

My wife and I bought a new storage shed Wednesday and it is now setup in back of the house. My dear wife wanted the floor painted, I said it is a shed for the yard tools. The floor got painted, the walls would look nice painted also. I painted the walls. Wife ask if I would like a chair in the newly painted shed. If anyone wants me I be in the newly painted with a chair!

Heading to Erie this evening to catch up with a friend and do some walleye fishing with he and his dad tomorrow. Looking like the weather and wave reports are good. He described the walleye fishing as having been "stupid good" lately. Hopefully that will hold true for tomorrow! I've never done a Lake Erie walleye trip before.

Took my English cocker for his daily walk this morning and saw all kinds of pollinators on the thistle bushes. First photo is a black swallowtail butterfly. Second photo has both a monarch butterfly (flower on left) and a clearwing hummingbird moth (flower on right). Hummingbird moths are great pollinators because they are active days and nights. They look like a cross between a hummingbird and a bumblebee and fly just like hummingbirds.

Whittling the to do list at camp. Guys are out now trimming shooting lanes on about 6-8 ladderstands and a pallet blind. Yesterday was large autumn olive hack and squirt . Then I drove the Swisher brushog thru and ran over as many small AO and honeysuckle and multi flora rose as I could see. Looks like drunk driving paths. Then late day yesterday a few guys went to the lake on SGL219. Water was very low, not worth putting canoe in. Loads of fish caught and released. Did keep 2 crappies that swallowed hook.
Still need to move a large rock out of a food plot. Trim some brush back on a trail, reglue formica at end of countertop that is lifted.Weather is perfect low humidity and maybe 80*.
