Edited to add;
Purchased new in 2021.
it’s at the dealers again now for 3 wks for the exhaust failure #2. Pipe from engine has a spring attached joint in front of muffler. This joint fails because muffler has only one hanger in the center causing muffler to flop around. New models have two hangers.
The dealer has this utv more then I do.
+ = Nice ride and tight turning radius and the winch works.
-= Under powered, Too slow. No high/low range. Plus all the above.
Would not recommend to anyone !!!

As NorthernPotterCounty said, I did own one. It had similar problems to yours, but not to the extent you have experienced. After multiple returns to the dealership which, the dealer had more time having it more than I did, I finally managed to talk the owner into buying it back, at a bit of a monetary loss for me, unfortunately.

Speaking directly to the manufacturer was useless, which left me at the mercy of the dealership owner, who eventually grew tired of me calling on the lemon law and did the buy back. All I can suggest is keep telling the dealer it is "defective" and you want a refund. He may just offer to buy it back.

American Landmaster is likely the worst UTV anyone could own, and if they get it usable I would suggest you dump it.

I really wish I could give you a workable solution to the problem, but I felt fortunate to just get them to buy it back at a loss. Sorry I could not be of any real help with this.

I am very disappointed by these reviews and appreciate the information. I was about ready to pull the trigger on one of their machines last year but instead decided to buy a camper. I am glad we changed our minds because these things don't seem to live up to their advertising and we actually managed to get pre-pandemic pricing on the exact camper we wanted. I still like these machines though and will be following them closely to see if they get better. After doing a few 90 dollar oil changes (cost of Polaris oil and filter only) and a 500 dollar trip to a Polaris dealer for what should have been small repairs I like the idea of the simple industrial motor that these machines run.

I buy filters by the dozen from Amazon and almost all my ATVs take the same filter. I buy synthetic oil by the gallon from Walmart. I doubt it costs me more than $10 or $12 to change the oil in each of my ATVs.

You should look into doing it yourself. It is not hard.

I traded a cfmoto utv for my L7. The cfmoto’s passenger seats and between seat engine cover got so hot you couldn’t stand it after 5 minutes of summer time use. Also the solid rear axle tore up my yard while using it for yard work.
The dealer who sells the landmasters is 5 min from my home. They service my tractors and other power equipment i have. Because of this and the fact they are USA made i thought it a no brainer to switch to the L7.
This dealer has several of these in stock now, even muti seat units. I’m not seeing this amount of inventory at any other competitors stores. I now know why.
It’s a shame that a USA manufacturer allowed this poor quality control and then didn’t have the the managerial expertise to keep their customers happy.

I listed in my review that i like it’s tight turning radius. To utilize this feature requires multiple revs of the steering wheel, which at speed gets tiring. I installed a suicide knob which helps a lot.

I promised landmaster thru my email exchanges with them that i would let everyone i could know of the in depth education i’ve received from this product experience. That’s why i signed up to this forum. It seemed like a great way to get the word out localy.
I hope landmaster can restore their reputation in the future. I’ll let yall know if they ever make it up to me.

Don’t feel bad. I know more than a few guys dragging deer out with >=250cc machines. Myself included.
I can go 95% of the places on the property my brother’s Grizzly’s go with my Recon, and through quite a few tight places he can’t. And being manual transmission, I can do it quieter too.

My brother gives me a hard time about looking like a clown riding into the circus tent but the little machine definitely has its advantages. I own a midsize truck and being able to fit the deer and the ATV in the bed at the same time is huge. My brother and I had to hide his Suzuki in the woods, take the deer to the processor and then drive back for his ATV. It made for a super long day. The light weight machine is also nice for loading, unloading and if I get stuck I just pick up the front or back and put it into a better position, that was never an option with my Polaris. I don't drive fast either so the small engine makes no difference to me. Most of the time the bayou was my hunting machine and the Polaris was for joy riding or work.

Well its a good day because we sold our Landmaster L7 sxs. Its been working better than ever since its last trip back to the shop for a loose drive belt cover. Actually been a couple months of defect free operation so it seemed like a good time to sell it.
I have a honda pioneer 1000 on hold at the dealer awaiting a roof and windshield to come in. Honda dealer would not accept the landmaster as a trade in so we were forced to sell it ourself. Landmaster dealer refused to buy it back, claiming they have too much inventory.
I’ve owned 4 other honda atv’s and motor cycles in the past and all were bullet proof. What was i thinking for changing 🫣

Honda Pioneer 1000 forest edition is working flawlessly. Its a dream to operate. The 6 sp auto trany with high and low range plus a switch to shift manually is awesome. While trail riding on roads in Potter Co. I switch to manual and use the steering wheel paddle shifters and run most everything in 4th thru 6th gear.

I installed the heat shield. Under the seat and seat back. Most of it i discarded because it didn’t fit under plastic panels. This helped some but was far from a cure.
I removed the panels covering the engine. I removed the metal exhaust heat shields above the header pipes. I installed header wrap on the exposed 1st ten inches of headers then replaced the metal heat shields .
Now the seat only gets warm 👍🏻.

You may miss that seat heater come hunting season when the snow and wind are flying. I know I love the heated driver seat in my truck after a cold day in the stand.
