I had a M70 with a Boss in 7mag. Was accurate. Consistently shot inch or slightly led at are 200 yds. It was one I may have kept? I buy new toys, shoot a buck and move on but it was a fine rifle.

 

I have a Win model 70 featherweight with a BOSS in a 7mm-08. Love the gun. Would buy another one.

 

Do you use the regular BOSS or the CR?

 

I have the regular BOSS. Ported, tunable muzzle break.

 

I just ordered a BOSS CR while I'm waiting on a scope I ordered. Wasn't a big fan of the noise from Browning 25-06 I had a lot of tme behind so I'll have something else to mess with if I want to. I don't expect a 243 to be as loud as that 25-06 was, but the CR should also be less of a dust inducer too when shooting prone at groundhogs. I just hope the Win is as accurate as that Browning was, that would be sweet.

 

I have a stainless and wood LH winchester M70 30-06. Very accurate! Beautiful rifle that I bought new .

 

The SS/Wood is a great look.

 

I have the blued version in 270 it will shoot anything well with tuning of the BOSS most times just a small adjustment and the load is under a inch if you keep record of the setting you can always go back I've loaded 110 to 160 grain and have had excellent results.

 

I've put 10 shots of Federal 100gr thru it. The suggested starting spot was 5.2. Two shot groups with adjustment in between got me to 5.5 and the last 2 almost touching. After New Years I'll start reloading looking for 75gr and 100 gr loads.

 

That sounds about like what I encountered with my 270. They also sell a conventional BOSS with no muzzle break.

 

I have the CR on now, don't see much benefit to a break on a 243. Midwest Gun Works had one.
