So I ordered a pair of heated waders from tidewe last season 53 weeks ago. The first pair they sent me had quite the leak in the crotch . I dropped them off at kohls, and they sent me a new pair. I used them 4 times last year. Last week they leaked. I started this process again, but I was a week past their ORIGINAL purchase date, and won't warranty their product. They said the best we can do is give you 20%off a new pair. I feel like I've been had. They were not cheap, but I literally wore them 5 times. I'm very upset about this, and will never buy from them again, but has anyone else had a positive experience with tidewe?

I looked into buying a pair , but their reviews are terrible. Judging from your experience, the reviews are pretty accurate. I’ve bought their neoprene children’s waders for my 5 y/o daughter and they seem to be working out alright, but obviously she isn’t “using” then he way we would.

That stinks. The best waders imo are the cabelas neoprene. I like the Supermags for late season. I’ve had waders from cabelas, simms, orvis, frog togg, Redington, and some of the cheap garbage ones they sell at dicks.

the cabelas have been better than the rest.

these companies charging 700+ dollars for waders are out of their mind

I've been running cabelas supermag 1600 since 2007, but with bass pro taking over I was gun shy on them. My first pair were 5mm. I don't think they are the same anymore.
Not sure I'd put down Sitka money for waders I routinely trudge through swamps with. I'm not sure they last longer than anyone else's. I paid 800 bucks for my first truck, it would be hard to c ough that much coin for waders.

I've got a couple pairs of Cabela's supermag 1600, they're old and leak but if a buddy goes layout hunting, they can use them. Both pairs leak in the crotch. But they are old and older, and I bought these cuz I thought I'd try heated waders because they were thin and I thought maybe easier to move in.

If you still have them with no help from the seller, you might try shoe glue from Walmart. I have a quality pair of rubber boots that developed a wrinkle and of course leaked. I tried shoe glue on the inside and out and they worked fine for a few years and then developed anther wrinkle in a different location so I grabbed the shoe glue and they are once again water proof.

Someone on here recommended shoe glue to me........Not much of a risk for $5.....

It smells like the glue shoe makers used to replace heels and soles when I was a kid and people had their shoes repaired.

If you try shoe glue and it works or fails please let me know.

I have had incredibly great luck with aquaseal namebrand. It's hard for me to break away from consistent results. Just always worked, and it lasted a couple years with no issues. I do appreciate the tip though. Maybe I'll try it on an old pair and see how they hold up.

Probably close to 20 years since Cabelas waders were that price. Still, I expected like $70.

I have a tough time respecting reviews and ratings on amazon - so many of them are flat out fake.

I have not used tidewe. I buy some chinese nonsense pseudo english name stuff on amazon and ebay but I don't expect much of it. I tend to draw the line below the quality requirements of waders, archery equipment, and scopes. The 1 year warranty cutoff doesn't surprise me. Bass pro severely overhauled Cabelas good return policy, so i wouldn't expect much from internet stuff.

At the same time, I bought some pretty pricey avery waders...banded? That were junk. They replaced them, before 2 years, but it was a pain and cost return shipping for a big heavy box. I still haven't tried the replacements - just trying to hang on with my last two pairs of cabelas waders and lots of aquaseal and pantyhose patches.

I thought I was the only one that wore waders in the layouts, on rainy days.

jimmyt, you are spot on about the Rogers breathable, I just tried to buy a second pair for backup, unfortunately they don’t make a size for me anymore. I’m 6’2”, 250 lbs, 34” inseam, 36-37” waist, size 10 boot. I’m all back and shoulders. The regulars are too short and too small, stout are too short, and the king size starts at size 11-12 boot. Im not sure what the heck to do now.

I ordered a heated hunting vest off Amazon. TIDWE brand and it worked really well. Not sure if it was the vest or battery that gave out. Called them and sent pics and they said they would send me $60. I told them I paid paid $120 for the vest and and either wanted a new vest or a full refund. They gave me a full refund. Though I was still inside the 1 uear warranty period.

imo waders are something that you dont wanna cheap on the first hunt or fish you do in them youll be glad you didnt in warmth, comfort and reliability. cold, uncomfy or leaky waders ruins a hunt fast. go with a name youve heard. cabellas has very reasonable waders with decent quality.
