Lots of seasons had Sundays left out. Late squirrel, late rabbit, late pheasant, groundhog seasons, AG tags in August....
Every hunter got additional Sundays, not every season got additional Sundays.
Its the same thing with the migratory stuff, thwy chose not to allow sundays to preserve waterfowl, so the non waterfowl guys are left out. Is what it is.....
Anywho, looks like storms rolling can see lightning off in the distance.

In reality, there no sense in continuing this, changes never ever please everyone. Nothing can be said or done to change that....

You can't be serious. There is a definite distinction between late season and spring turkey hunters and everybody else. If you can't see that they didn't get Sunday hunting like everybody else, you are blind
So is that a hard refusal to answer the simple question?

Did you gain any Sundays for late season or spring gobbler? Other seasons did.
No, but that’s ok. I don’t need everything to be equitable all the time, all at once. It’s the way things work. If it does not change for the 26/27 season then I will make my opinion then.

I understand. You got yours and are not worried about other hunters. Talk about hunters sticking together.
None are mine. I share every season with about 850,000 others. Some of them actually get out and hunt, some don't. I hunt the days that I am allowed to.

Thank you, that's what I have been saying all along. They question is why we're those seasons treated differently?

WOW, you just don't get it
I absolutely get it.
You are upset that your favorite season didn't get additional Sundays to hunt on, and you want me to be outraged about it.
I am not.
I will hunt on some Sundays from Sept-Dec.
I will hunt on some days other than Sundays (except for crows) from Dec 26 to June.
I don't have to share your outrage to something that I don't consider outrageous.

You could email or call the PGC and ask the source

The BOC explained why.
They didn't mention that it was because they wanted to pick on anyone specific.

That's your opinion. I believe every hunter should be treated the same. They increased the days for other seasons without knowing what affect it will have on harvest numbers. Why would late season and spring gobbler be any different?

I have some news for you… not everyone or ever group is treated the same all the time all at once, that is reality. It takes time. Change happens but it happens slow sometimes. And over a few years is not slow, unless you are part of the “i deserve it now” crowd.

What do you mean by every hunter should be treated the same?

I think that you mean to say that you think that every season for every animal should be the same length of time which includes the same amount of days and the same amount of days in a week.

So, you believe that every season for every animal should be as long as the longest season also, to keep things fair?
Or should we cut down the number of days in spring gobbler because Sr Rifle for Doe is only three days?

Or maybe the youth turkey season should be canceled because the kids are getting more time in the spring than the adult turkey hunters?

I mean which is it? Where is the line in the sand that gives everyone exactly the same amount of everything for every season and makes everyone happy? Or do you just want to "get yours" in the spring and be content?

My only thought on the whole thing is that anytime the PGC lengthened or shortened a season, it was for a reason....usually biologist determined for the good of the resource (whether we liked it or not, lol).

Wonder if any thought or explanation will be given on adding many extra high pressure days?

Well, I wondered when you where going to bring up the youth days and the old "get yours " comment. It tells me you have run out of other explanations.
I believe that every hunter in whatever season should be given the opportunity to hunt on Sundays. It's plain to see that you don't believe that, but that is your choice. Talk about the hunting community sticking together.

I understand why you are not outraged over the decision, because you got what you care about, and that's all your worried about.
