You are acting like many of the "everyone else" don't hunt anything from Dec 26 and after.
And you are acting like everone who hunts from Dec 26 and beyond doesn't hunt prior to those dates.
We (every licensed hunter) all have the same amount of days to hunt in every season. Every single one of us is in the same boat as fsr as days that we are allowed to hunt and we have ALL just been given the same amount of extra days. Those days are yours, turkeykillers, mine, and every other licensed hunters days. They might not fall in our favorite season(s) but we ALL got them equally.
Take the win.
You keep dodging the issue. Yes, we all can hunt the days we are given, but we all didn't get extra days (Sundays).

Except for Sundays for late seasons and spring gobbler, like everybody else.
"Everybody else" cant hunt those late season days or spring Sunddays either. Every one of us CAN hunt the additional Sundays from Sept 14 to Dec 7. None of us can hunt additional Sundays after Dec 26.
There is only one group and we are all in it.

I’m not a Sunday hunter, and have no plans to start. So I don’t really have a vested interest in this discussion. But looking at this as an outside observer, I can’t think of any reason for the PGC to add Sundays for archers and not for flintlock hunters. If it’s about being cautious with the resource, that’s hilarious. The number of deer that would be killed by flintlock hunters in the late season is minuscule compared to what bow hunters will kill in the six Sundays of archery season.

Not to mention small game after Christmas. Pheasants are put and take. Kill them all, makes zero difference. Rabbits and squirrels? Yea, they’ll be hounded into extinction if they were hunted on a few Sundays in the late season.

This decision makes about as much sense as the elimination of rifles in the fall season. Say you‘re running low on turkeys, then add a week of season in 2D.

Those reasons were outlined in detail during the board meeting today. I suggest you watch the recording instead of ranting and raving without all the facts.
In the meantime, you’re welcome to explore the 10 added opportunities just like everyone else and use them or not use them as you see fit. Just like everyone else.
Fact, the BOC increased deer and bear seasons before they can know the effect on the harvest. However, they couldn't increase the days of late season hunting and spring gobbler without a study. What a joke.

Did you watch the staff presentations to the board today on their recommendations and rationale?

No I am not dodging the issue.
You are acting like the State sells two different licenses, one for before Xmas and one for after Xmas and that if you have one you cant have the other, and because of that, one group is being treated unfairly.
The fact is that EVERYONE's license is valid on the same day and ends on the same day. Nobody is more special than the next because we all have the same opportunities to hunt literally everything every day of every season during the set days and times.

What did the BOC say to that when you spoke to them at the meeting today?

Because the same rules apply to everyone who hunts all of the seasons. All hunters have the same opportunities to hunt the same posted days in each of the seasons.
Some seasons after Xmas didn't add extra days, but they didn't lose any days either..
Just because one season might be someone's favorite, doesn't elevate to priority status. Every licensed hunter "got theirs". It is up to the individual to actually go do it.

Nobody is asking for "priority status". We are just saying we should all be treated equally.

No, I am acting like someone that didn’t get what everyone else got. Give it to everyone or no one. Stand up as the sportsman we are “supposed” to be and support each other. But hey, you guys got what you want so……….!

We all are. Did the BOC give anyone permission to hunt Sundays in the spring turkey season and not others?

They aren't at all. They get to hunt the same set dates and days as everyone. Because they choose to limit their time afield, they are depriving themselves of opportunities they could have enjoyed earlier.
The BOC are depriving late season hunters and spring gobbler hunters the same opportunities as other seasons, but not including Sundays. Plain and simple.

Did the Game Commission sell you a licence that is only vald from Dec 26 to the end of Spring Turkey and state that you can't use any other weapon than a flintlock and cant hunt anything else in any other season?
If not, you and I, plus 849,998 others are all on equal rules.
