Any snake tong will work. Get yourself a hook. A pillow case will work for a bag and a tube they pack fluorescent lights in is all I use. You do not need to spend a lot of money on equipment. I would put my money into a good pair of boots or gaiters if I was just starting out.
I don't like to see them accidentally, let alone go look for them.
