I stopped at their shop tonight to play with some pot calls and was blow away with what they've done in the past year. Pure Turkey.

 

I don't know those guys, but after listening to a couple of clips I'd say yeah, they got it going on!!!

 

Look up Mark Cornelius (MAC) or James Witmer on facebook. Two of the best pot call makers in the country from here in Pa. and great guys to boot.

used to be a call maker in Delmont, Penns Woods, i think. last time i was over in Delmont i didnt see their building. did they close up or move?

 

The old Penn's Woods building on 66 north of Delmont has been vacated by them for several years. I think they are now right in Delmont. Their product line still is available.

 

Was a Cody guy years ago. They were really good. Killed lots of birds with a drop dead green slate. And woodsman glass. Have a world class slate too. BUT
Cody has not kept pace with the call makers today!!! Some great turkey call makers out there that are putting out better sounding calls, with more of variety woods, strikers, slates, glasses and metals. In many cases for less money!

 

I still think Cody calls are very good calls, but the price on his higher end calls is ridiculous. I bought a World Class slate way back when from Bill for $25 and he signed it. Today, for $80 and less, there are guys everywhere making true custom calls that flat out run.

 

Thanks for all the info., I ordered a pot call and couple mouth calls from "Feathermoon" today, I'll give them a try. $45.00 for slate/cherry pot call and $14.00 for the two mouth calls.

Penn's Woods had a building on the road back where the cemetery is. i noticed that the sign is no longer there. its been a long while since ive been on that road. its the road from Delmont to Slickville.

 

I use Gizzo Turkey Calls exclusively.

 

Kip Feroce makes a great box call.

 

Yep....bought one of Kips Hardwood Whackers this past Summer. One fine call.

 

I just got my hands on my new Zebrawood slate over aluminum tonight. First two licks on the striker and I knew they built me pure gold.
This call sounds incredible with a high front end that rolls over into a clear or raspy yelp depending on the pressure you apply. Putts and clucks like a champ too.

I just bought this call at the GAOS it’s from Tipton Creek Turkey Calls out of Tipton Pa it has a raspy tone to it

 

I have a few Lynch and Penn Woods calls. they are well made and sound great.

 

Jacks mountain calls from Mifflin County are some really good calls.
