The guy that bought vest #5 at the NWTF auction for $31k was apparently buying it whatever the cost. Through a friend or family member that knew Toxey, he worked at Mossy Oak while going to MS State and he mentored under Mr Fox. He’s a big executive now, money was no object and he has lots of respect for the man.
God Bless America! 🇺🇸 I only wish my finances were in the same shape as his.
There are lots of good stories going along with the vest and sentiment with it, as well as last weekend at West Point.

I have 3 made in USA MO turkey vests......yes made in USA when you could call the factory directly and order. Also have original made in USA hats and jackets.....

Wonder where this one is made?

I was turkey hunting one morning and had to make pit stop. While taking care of business I look over and see something laying on a tree stump. I finished up and walked over to it and it was one of them vests. Didn't think nothing of it. It's been hanging in my basement ever since. I never knew what that piece of leather with the number meant until now. Thanks for the info.

Wait a minute. You found a Bob Dixon vest while taking a leak in the woods? I'll give you $500 for it.

What is so great about these vests. I clearly must be missing something. I have killed long beards wearing Walmart camo pants and a mouth call in my cargo pocket. I do use a loaded down vest, and even a gobbler lounge situation pending (rare)

Beside being a commemorative vest to honor a great man and the proceeds going to conservation of the wild turkey, nothing (although they are very well made).

It's like asking what's so great about the top of the line Benelli, when you can kill em with an H&R single shot....only Benelli keeps all the money.

I carry all the turkey hunting gear in my pockets. No longer need a vest. Waste of weight. Went old school and still smash gobblers without a vest or blind or decoys like that other guy.

Not this guy. I've got more sense than that. If someone wants to spend that kind of money then they obviously earn way more money than me or just don't have a care in the world.

Same here. Three shells in the Benelli, three rounds in my pocket. Two snuff cans to carry two mouth calls.
