To an outfitter, all men are not created equal. If you spend enough time on guided hunts, you’ll see the “ high rollers” come through. Doctors, lawyers, buisiness owners, etc. An outfitter’s nose can smell money, and they’ll drop everything to cater to money. They many times will guide them themselves, give them upgraded cabins or lodging, or hunt them in their honeyholes and hotspots. I saw this play out nearly every year at various operations.

i would just like to see the names of the outfitters that some guys say they will never go to again. we got the reasons why, but we didnt get the names.

naming names will save some people here a lot of cash and heart aches.

Bohunr - I'll give you two to avoid that I have hunted with:

Alaska Bush Adventures of Alaska
Open Creek Outfitters of Cody, WY

I posted basically a novel on other sites on these two.

I went on a terrible hunt in South Carolina. It was with Bostick Plantation out of Estill. I was taken in by a show on one of the outdoor channels. Its a great place if you're a celebrity. If you're a regular Joe. Forget it. They had thousands of acres that only big names with big wallets hunted. They sure didn't tell you that. 3 of us hunted 3 days and the only deer were seen by me about 10 minutes into the hunt. Stands all had trash and you could tell were hunted way too often. I was forgotten on stand and sat for almost 2 hours after dark. I was told I would be fined if I got down. They pick up hunters and if they have a downed animal or need to track they wait until after taking care of that person to pick up the rest. It was a cheap hunt so I guess you get what you pay for.
