ICE hit by Sniper

Take a look at that stripper clip. Looks like a 8mm to me. Really?!?!

Looks like it could be. The neck is much fatter than the 6.5 Swede

Nevermind, went over to Snipers Hide and a Dallas Ice thread was the first one, halfway down had the rifle in a picture I cannot post here. Definitely a K98 in 8mm though looks like it was Czech rather than German.

Definitely a copy cat though as what are the odds two people in less than a month choose to use a Mauser to shoot people?

Still awaiting the pic of the rifle used in Kirk's assination. The pic shown on the internet does not jive with what the FBI described- wood stock, not a take-down. If the bullet fragmented from hitting a protective vest, how can you claim the bullet came from that rifle without enough bullet to examine rifling engraving marks?
Also, doesn't anyone lock doors to roof access- just from a liability standpoint it seems like a no-brainer to me, but apparently brains are in short supply these days.

FBI never said wood stock, they said it was a Mauser in 30-06.

The also never claimed it was a take down, there’s only two screws holding the stock to the action and they can be broken down and re assembled in less than a minute.

Bullet didn’t hit a vest, it was most likely something light like a 125gr or 150gr bullet at high velocity that fragmented on impact and the pieces followed the spines. I’ve had it happen with deer and there is historical precedent as MLK had the same thing happen when he was killed with a 30-06 out of a Remington 760.

As for how they know it was that rifle, it was found stashed in a small wooded area with a fired round in the camber less than 300 yards from where the assassin jumped off the roof, in the direction that he ran with the rifle as seen on campus security camera and the direction he was seen coming from on the local ring camera without the rifle in his possession. Additionally if I understand correctly it was found by the dogs who were following the shooters path from where he jumped off the roof.

Rooftop access is always locked. Somebody let him up there

Always? I find that hard to believe. Or he simply broke the lock to access the roof. Not unheard of.

This just in.....Nazi battle rifle used to kill helpless whitetail deer! And a few Mule deer! The occasional bear. And illegally shooting a chipmunk.
