Lots of good advice so far. When you check you cameras, have extra cards and take a digital camera with you. That way you can determine whether you want to keep the camera there or move it. Take batteries with you also when you check. Cheap ones are that and i have found cheaper cameras love to eat cheaper batteries. Slow shudder speed should be used over a bait pile or food plot. If using on a trail aim down the trail. You will get alot of tail shooting perpendicular to it. Don;t forget to turn it on!
