This spring, I attended an outdoor film festival in Bethlehem, and one of the films was grouse hunting in New York. They also offered a guided grouse hunt on the auction, but it went for a lot of $$. I'm curious if anyone has hunted grouse in New York and had much success if seeing birds. If so, could you provide any advice on parts of the state (counties or whatever information you're willing to share)? I'd like to head up with my English Setter and Brittany this fall, and since they allow hunting on Sundays, it makes it a little more attractive than driving 3 hours from my house up to northern PA for a 1 day hunt.
