LB12, have you used that skun'n set up before or is it a new addition?

 

The set up I used last year in another shed. I was in a hurry and just threw it together. The PVC beam works really well, and I have no complaints with it. The angle is proably a little step for some but i did not have to bend over last year at all while i was fleshing. I at this point dont know if i want to anchor to the wall or the floor or let it alone? You guys with more experiance will have a few tips and are more than welcome to share.

My fleshing beam setup is similar to yours except it has a little wider stance on the floor an a hinge board that folds up to the center of the beam for support. If I was to do it over again I would make one that hinged down off the wall that way when not in use I could just fold it up alongside the wall an it wouldn't take up all that room.

 

I was thinking of using somthing like a piano hing and fasten to the wall with a leg that swings out when i want to use it. Agree with you that it would be nice to just push it up out of the way during the off season. I just dont know if piano hing would be heavy enough.

I actually built a garage this year and added a 14' x 16' off the back under my lean too. Still working on it.
I see you have a harbor freight crane mounted on ceiling. I bought one also (440 lb rating) how does it work?

Its not organized because of trapping season and our family got Covid but I wanted to post before I forgot.

 

Really like your fur shed!! I see you have a small chest freezer and will definitely try to pick one of those before the start of next year. Wife was not to pleased that everytime she went to our freezer she had to move 5 coyotes, a bunch of fox and so on!! Very nice!! Thanks for sharing!

You gents are set up nice for sure. It's time to build one here, I was fleshing yesterday and just kept bumping into the deer hanging behind me, getting crowded and I'd rather keep the fur side seperate from the food side of things here.

 

Yeah last year I did it in about a 4x4 area in the shed and just about went nuts!! Decided if I am going to be serious about this I am going to need a different set up. The new shed is has enough room for the line I am running. So far I have really enjoyed working in it. Biggest suggestion if your building from scratch is to make sure you have 10 foot ceilings! Makes life alot easier! The ceiling in mine is 9 foot and I make it work , however if I had 1 more foot it would have made things alot nicer.

 

My Dad said to figure out what ya need, then multiply by 4. And then add on later.
