I have kept my licenses in a holder pinned to my backpack (it goes with me on every hunt). This week I hunted SGL 217. Yesterday, I was successful on a doe and when I went for the tag, everything was gone. I gutted and dragged the doe, and backtracked my steps to my truck but to no avail. Cell service was spotty in the woods. I drove to a licensing agent and they printed me my licenses but not any doe tags. Said I had to go to a courthouse for that (not on a Saturday!). So I called the PGC nad they were very helpful. After looking up my info via my CID number, they told me to just write up a paper tag and that would be sufficient to transport to a processor. From now on the tags go inside the pack or in my wallet!
