This will be the 1st year for me using lighted nocks. I bought them on Amazon. They have a little switch to turn them off with your thumbnail after you shoot. Shot them a few times I really like them. I hear they can be a game changer for hunting? Do you use lighted nocks?

I would like to, but Mission doesn‘t recommend using anything other than the half moon aluminum nocks. When I bought this Xbow in 2013, the guy at the pro shop said no plastic.

A few years ago, I saw Mission branded lit nock arrows. Thought to myself, well, if they’re marketing them, they must be ok. First morning of the season, a nice 8 comes under me at 18 yards. When I pulled the trigger, the string came unwound, and the arrow went flying sideways. Fortunately, the xbow wasn’t damaged, the shop got it restrung, and I killed the same buck that evening.

So I’ve been back to the aluminum nocks since then.

I used to use them but rarely use them now. Too many nock failures resulting in string damage or worse yet, bow damage. I pretty much use aluminum nocks in all of my crossbows. Crossbows have so much energy transfer into the back of the arrow, I just feel better with metal taking that force.

Here I was thinking I was the only one that had problems with them.
