A friend of mine told me about this thread and I would like to clear something up from an old post. There are two kennels raising Labs that can be confused. Warriors Mark Wingshooting Lodge and Kennels in Ginter, PA and someone calling themselves Warriors Mark Labs in the town of Warriors Mark, PA. I know nothing about Warriors Mark Labs but that must of been the place the prior poster was talking about that went into a basement. Warriors Mark Wingshooting Lodge is a state inspected kennel (you can look up their inspection reports on the PA Dept of Ag website) and a breeder of quality bird dogs. All their dogs used for breeding are also used to guide bird hunts on their 2700 acre bird hunting preserve. They do all the necessary health testing on the parents and sell pups of several breeds with full guarantees. Their breedings contain top bloodlines and they will even assist you with training your pup if needed. You can look them up on the web or call them for more information. Just please do not confuse them with the Warriors Mark Labs place.

I usually don't bash a person's business on this site but on this subject I will. If this breeder for labs you are talking about is from Ginter Pa. he is a POS. I was looking for a lab six years ago and I got this guys name from Lion Country Supply. I can't remember his name off hand. Any how, wanted a chocolate and he said he had one left and I told him I could be there that afternoon. It was an hour drive from my house. I get there and actually thought I had the wrong house. Best way to describe, shambles. Knocked on the door. No answer. Looked around back and saw a kennel, if thats what you want to call it, and saw some labs in it so I new I had the right house. Knocked again. No answer. Walked over and got a closer look t the kennel and it was filthy. Finally this POS opens the door and looks like he just got out of bed after an all nighter. I told him who I was and he said the pups were in his basement with the mother. He brought the mother up and she was the smallest friggin lab I ever saw. Short legged and maybe fifty pounds. At this point I just wanted to walk away but I questioned about seeing the one chocolate he had left. He said it was spoken for. He told me a few hours before on the phone he had a chocolate left. Well I wanted to flatten him right there but I gave him a few choice words and left. That is when the wife and I decided to quit messing around with these "puppy mills" and went to Barnes. Pricey dogs but well worth it.

Sounds like a case of mixed up identity's. Could you please contact me so I can figure out what happened?
Thank you
I don't think there's any way someone is going to confuse with what was described there and Warriors Mark Wingshooting Lodge/Kennels. At least I hope not.

British Labs are the way to go! Wish there were more legitimate breeders in this part of the country. I have a 6 month old lab from Caney Creek Kennels in Arkansas and he's a totally different dog than the last lab I had. My last lab was a good dog - obedient, hard charging, non-aggressive, but this new British puppy is way easier training. There is the trade off of paying more and traveling farther to find a good litter, so to each their own. Best advice is to pick the litter, not the puppy. Look at the parents and grandparents (both sire and dam) and they will tell you what potential the puppies will have.
I am actually considering a pup from them. We just had to put our 11.5 year old chocolate down. She was a great dog for a family companion. I am looking at these "British" labs and like that they are smaller. You're still happy with them? Did you go pick the dog up or did you have them ship to you?

I just love the labs!
