Running diesels of various sorts 40yrs, never mattered the treatment brand, read the label, see what temp it protects to and how many gallons it treats to see if price of one is better than another. Currently have 2 Kubota tractors and the backhoe has a Kubota engine in it. Had 2 gel ups both decades ago, one in the truck about a mile after leaving work and had to have it towed to a garage to get warmed up. Another a yanmar tractor on the edge of a field, covered it with a few layers of tarp, took out the generator and put a salamander heater under it for about 20 minutes. Both because I waited too long that year to treat the fuel. But regardless of the brand if I approximately follow the instructions never had a gel up.
What I have now. Never done the double dose as recommended on the bottle. I start with a full tank and put in approx what is recommended for below 0, northern border, much less now than 40yrs ago but we still have mornings below 0.
