Was watching the web cam this morning at Trout Run. The shoulder soldiers were lined up this morning. Saw a steelhead in the creek as well.

Was just up for a look. Man are those creeks low. Poor fish at the mouth don't stand a chance.
And C&R in these temps is basically a dead fish...

The creek in my yard hasn't had flow for a month. We are really dry here.
Praying for some water for our PHW Steelhead Slam in November. Had to cancel last year, no water.

I was just trying to access the Uncle Johns Elk Creek webcam and it's not working. I see there's a message saying it has been permanently closed down, meaning the entire campground. Not sure what the reason was but I had heard a few negative comments about it over the years while fishing up there. I personally never had any interactions there so would be unfair for me to speculate, but I'll miss that webcam for sure! It really was handy because you could look at the creek level and judge whether to head up or not. The Walnut creek one is useless because you can't really see the creek from it.....just the marina which doesn't help.

Heard it was the sewage issue that forced them to close. The Walnut gauge shows, water temp, height and discharge. Gives a decent idea how the streams are.

Haven't fished since Sunday but there were some fish around, before light and first hour or so was about the only time worth fishing before water temps started to climb the past couple of weeks.

Trolled Walnut and Trout Run early Saturday for stagers. Only hooked up with one steelhead which was lost. Caught a few walleye in 10 ft of water. Boat traffic in front of Walnut made it challenging to troll in tight. Ended up going to the trench for a quick box of eyes.

Sunday got out before first light to a trib that I knew had a decent pod of fish. Hammered fish till about 8 am before they shut off. Single eggs, size 18 hooks and 4 lb fluro was the ticket.
