Easiest mouth calls for turkey?

I think too many people start with a 2 reed with Proph or really thin latex because they are told they are the easiest to blow. And while they are the easiest to make a sound with, I find them harder to control......although once you learn to control the air and the roll over, they make an excellent high pitch whiny yelper and finisher.

The best combo of easy to blow and easy to control for me would be a 2.5 reed with proph or thin latex on the bottom and a loose stretch heavier latex on the top. Either a split V or batwing cut.

Call the guys at Feathermoon outdoors and tell them what you are looking for. Tell them I sent you.

And like other have said get that double note down for the yelp and you'll sound far more authentic. I remember when I was younger and all the directions on the back of the package would tell you to say "chuck chuck chuck". Forget all that!
"Kee-yuck kee-yuck kee-yuck........." is what you're looking for. One the hardest things to do for any turkey caller is to do a single yelp, not a series of yelps, but a single yelp. If you can master this you will be well ahead of the game. That single two-note yelp is a gobbler killer.
