I read somewhere when you hit a deer with one they go straight down!

 

I'm sure it'll be fine. Lots of YouTube articles comparing the .350 to the .400 Legend. More bullet drop with the .400 but more downrange energy. I don't think a well shot deer will live long enough to complain either way.

 

Can't see how it would not work.

 

..save you money !! Go buy some rifled slugs for you .20 ga turkey gun. Same basic things

 

In jest right? I do not like using slugs or slug guns for deer. I can get better accuracy at 200 yards with a .400 Legend than I could at 100 with a slug gun. Ammo is around $32 a box for 20 rounds. 5 shotgun slugs aren't much off that price if I use the better sabot stuff. Foster slugs are cheap but are 50 yard ammo at best. My son's got a slug gun. With the scope and fully loaded it is very heavy I'd say over ten lbs. It kicks like an angry donkey. Another disadvantage.

 

The 350 legend has been great for me. I can't imagine the .400 legend being worse other than recoil and possibly the expense of ammo.
