Chipmunks.

3 doe a little before 7 but they got into my wind. Had to get down at 8 to go with my wife to Lancaster. Kicked up a doe and fawn on the walk back. Good luck to those still out.

Almost hit a dead deer someone nailed at some point in my lane driving to hunt. Nothing for me this morning but tree rats. COFFE break and lunch. Maybe some scouting. Fair amount of vehicles up rd from me as I drove for a coffee.

Slow morning for me. Saw one unknown at first light and that was it. Had to climb down early because I have to take my daughter to a birthday party.

I finally picked up a shooter buck on camera this week. Looks to be a 130s 9 point.

@jmbear12 You will get your time as the rest of us eventually will too. Hopefully your patience on having to wait due to other committments will be worth it for you as the season progresses. Enjoy the apple harvest- I'm hoping to get there this weekend since I wasn't able to last weekend.
I'll be the big ugly guy working at the 4-H BBQ chicken pit... if you make it here, stop by and say hi!

Saw the 3rd buck this year dead on the road a half mile from my house. Always bums me out.

Drew a blank this morning. Camera was hot here yeserday morning and today, nothing. Wind was perfect too.

Well hopefully the boys shoot better at deer this evening than they did at pheasants in the AM. Had a youth stocked gamelands to ourselves. Dog did well; one bird in the bag. Lots of misses and laughs.

Just got set up for our evening hunt. Both boys are shooting does tonight if one presents itself. I just had a small 8pt come by. Looking to be a good evening.

This is exactly why the sundays are such a big win. Its not necessarily the subday itself, it providing as much opportunity to hunt to everyone!
Thankfully its still early, Im hoping everyone gets their chance in the woods asap!!!

Stopped to chat with the landowner on a new property I just got permission on. Super nice guy. After that it went downhill. Walking in to my stand a shooter buck stands up 15 yards from me about 60 yards from my stand in a pile of crap. No way to get an arrow into him. We had a stare off then he trotted away. Probably 18 inches wide. Then a take a few more steps and three does are bedded under my stand. Ugh!!
