Thanks for posting this info. It is interesting to see everything went up except for nonresident adults. I think the fact that junior licenses and mentored youth went up by the biggest percentages shows that our sport is still alive in some kids hearts at least. It gives at least a glimmer of hope for the future.

Sounds good. I am not sure how that ties in to the big picture directly, but I read a while back that hunting license sales usually go up some as unemployment rates rise. Any one else heard that?

I'm sure the baby boomers, that just started entering 65 years of age, will have some affect over license sales for the next 10 years.
Then what will be the affect of the U.S. population in general and the hunter population specifically, when the over weight situation of the public is factored in the equation.

I fear what will be, will be.

Also remember that the PGC introduced the range permits that are required for the ranges on state game lands. They made those more expensive then a hunting license. I bet a few more people bought the hunting license instead of the range permit. Now that doesnt account for all the sales being up just a small number.

Baby boomers are accounting for the sharp rise in SR Life Combo sales, which <span style="font-style: italic">also</span> means they are no longer buying the Adult license. That is one major factor in lower Adult Res. sales.

Hmmmmm... raises an interesting Q. For those tha buy the Lifetime Sr License, are they included as a License Sale each year (I guess there would have to be a determination as to if they are still alive :/). Sounds like a goofy question, but with so many boomers coming of that age, shouldn't the Lifetimers be counted each year as a sale ?

They are counted as sales when they buy their initial SR Life or Combo and as upgrades, (which involves paying additional funds) if they change that status from SR Life to the combo package.
