I've been looking on line but have not found an answer. On township roads where it is legal to ride atv, what is the age? It it always sixteen, or can it be younger if with an adult?

I know on state forest land it is as young as 8 if with a parent and certification course complete.

Honestly , I've never heard that question before . I was on the Whiskey Springs trails many times with a buddy that had 2 girls 8 and 10 . We always drove up the Park road ( Designated ATV use ) from Hwy. 120 at Kettle Creek Inn to the Trail Head parking lot . We were never stopped or questioned even when we bumped into the DCNR officers on the trails . We just never considered the girls ages . Very good question . If you get an official answer , please POST it up .

"ATV operators on joint-use roads must be ar least 16 yoa." "Municipal ordinances may further regulate the use of ATV's on roads in their jurisdiction."
