When we went in to the stand this morning there was a bunch of turkeys roosted right around the treestand. We flushed a bunch of them when we climbed up in. There was still a few remaining turkeys roosted around us. Once they flew down behind us the one hen started calling alot. The woods filled up with turkeys answering back and coming towards that hen. This one kinda saw us and was slipping around. When it came into the opening, I called to it ad it stopped perfectly broadside. Colton shot it, and it only went about 10' and died. He was pumped up. This is his first turkey. Thanks to the PGC for making the tag transfer for fall turkey this year. He was using an Excal Vortex with Victory arrows and ABC Bolt Sonics.
