There was a hawk in that video, I'm surprised all the pheasants weren't killed
A simple shelter belt in the west does the trick. In PA, much heavier cover is required to protect the birds from avian and mamalian predators. We did not find 1 (that's one) dead pheasant on our flushing surveys. After flushing hundreds of birds and covering many acres, not one dead bird was found. These wild birds know how to survive if given half a chance.
I was trying to find this video when that clown was spewing all that garbage about "avian predators", then it appeared on another Forum, a little late.
Heck if it keeps going like it is, this scene is not that crazy. What does a 173 pheasants look like flushing from 50 acres!
