Would you shoot a albino deer?

Just curious. Some people believe it will bring bad luck. Some biologist say they bring negative traits to the entire deer heard. Others believe they are beautiful creatures that should be illegal to shoot. Whats your opinion?

no way ,, thats bad medicine. i know a guy that shot two. he wasnt around much longer after that....
Indians didn't shoot albinos, that didn't help them very much. Superstition doesn't run my life.
BAD MOJO!
I know a guy that shot one from a vehicle, out of season, while drunk, and got caught. You just wouldnt believe the bad luck he had when he got to court and he wasnt even an indian.
Definitely BAD MOJO!
good point john. but i dont think i could do it.

the other day on a busy intersection, a crow tried to walk across the road in front of me while i was stopped at a red light. i kept jumping my truck foward to scare him off but he would turn right around and try again.

finaly after around the third time i seen the other light turn yellow, i jumped the red light just so that sucker couldnt cross my path. it wasnt gonna happen, i was having a bad week already.
Albinism is a recessive genetic flaw. Both the parents must carry the gene for it to fully come through and if those to parents ever do meet it's still a one in four chance. I've heard 1 in 30,0000 whitetails is an albino. Many albino deer suffer from many different health issues.

I did actually have one on a property I hunt. We saw this HALF albino 8pt on many occations before archery openned up. I was in college at the time and wasen't able to fully commit to hunting this buck. Shame because it was a half albino with a nice rack to boot! Truly a rare trophy. We believe someone poached him at night. We was seen up untill the 2nd week of archery and then disappreared. We know everyone that also hunts around us and nobody know what happened to him. And we pritty much figure someone had to of poached him considering someone would brag about shooting a buck like that. Well here he is enjoy guys. I do have some other pics of his if you want to see more.

If I had an Albino deer walk up to me I'd do a few things...

First off, I'd shoot it.....

Then I'd get hold of a Mirror and break it into a million tiny pieces....

Then I'd find somone to Throw a Black Cat in my path as I walked out of the woods dragging that Albino deer......

Then as I pulled on the hanging rope in the tree to skin it....I'd make sure I walked back and forth under a ladder a few times.....then Laugh my head off at the Superstition sayers and saying!!!!!

Superstitions------BLAH, the meat is ALL Red and TASTEY UNDER that White Fur!!!! and a Few on here who claim to follow Christ are scared of Superstitious sayings and will aviod them...pitifull!

"Running Nose, we are starving, you must leave the teepee and go get us some venison"
"Okay Friendly Beaver, I'm on the case!"
"Remember, Running Nose, for our people it's bad luck to shoot white ones, so if you see one pass up the shot and we'll just eat dirt for the rest of the winter."
A local A-hole shot a white one this past hunting season.
It cost him over $2,000.00
Let's see....
Shooting from a vehicle.
Shooting in a safety zone. ( 2 of them.)
No anterless license.
etc. etc. etc.

Chief "Smacks the horse on the rear" sent out a somewhat Slow learning Brave 1 day....

Chief ""Half Bubble off Plum" Go out and get us meat for the winter or the whole tribe will die!"

"Half Bubble Off Plum" Ok Chief, me get em meat for all tribe

a few days go by, "Half Bubble" comes back with much meat...

After all the tribe had a great feast,
Chief "Smacks the horse on the rear" asked "Half Bubble" were he got all the meat....

"Half Bubble" states "you know all deer that other braves let walk thru forest eating grass and never come back with meat for village because they scared to shoot those deer? Well, me half bubble shoot 1, eat it and find no bad luck come to me and me know village be set for winter with many deer that other braves never shoot"

And after that, that indian tribe lived many years thru many long winters, while many other tribes died due to being scared to send thier "Half Bubble Off Plum" Braves out to get meat to feed them thru winter...

Chief "Smacks the horse on the rear" renamed Half Bubble off plum to
"Full Bubble on Center"

Does venison white meat taste different than venison dark meat??
I know three people that shot albino deer. They were not very lucky. One had the deer taken from his truck, another had one taken off his porch, the third was killed in a car accident on the way home.

Too many other deer to shoot. Besides I like to watch the albino's in the woods as they are a rare animal.
That is called making your own bad luck, which is usually the case with bad luck. Just easier to blame something other than you.

thanks john

i agree after people shoot an albino they blame all there bad luck that they would otherwise have anyway on the fact that they shot the albino.
