It has been about 9 years since i have been to the woodsmen show. At cherry springs. I was thinking od heading up tomorrow until i saw they charge 12.00 on saturday to get in. There is not that much there to see for 12.00. Last time i was there it was mostly fodd vendors. Thought anyone.

It definitely has gone down with vendors and no where near what it used to be and for 12 bucks no way. We gather the gang together and go to the Elk Expo later in the month.A lot more family fun for a full day. A good number of craftsmen and woodcarvers are there. Plus the excitement of possibly getting picked for an Elk tag.

I went yesterday (Saturday) we were up at camp and figured I would take the family to check it out since I haven’t been there since I was a young buck. Always neat to see not much as far as vendors and stuff for sale. Watched the quick carve for the hour it lasted. It’s amazing the talent those guys have. Also watched the entire lumberjack competition which was neat to see. During the tree felling contest the fastest tree came down by axe in only 38 seconds, the longest it took one guy was 13 minutes. Amazing the stamina of some of them boys out there. All that being said it’s a cool show if you have never been. Admission was salty for what ya got. Food prices were decent I guess. $2.00 hotdog $4.00 cheeseburger and $1.00 sodas. I would not go every year but it was cool to see again. As others have mentioned go to the elk expo if your looking for a weekend to do something up north.
