This used to be on a much larger "pool of water" base but the bugs got to it and I never had it replaced. IIRC, the original version of this mount won a national championship for the taxidermist back in the 1980s.

I don't have a picture, but I have seen mounts where they get them flying out of the water. They use plexiglass for the water and then somehow melt plastic to create beads of water on the duck and to connect it to the plexiglass. It looks very real when you see it. Just an idea. Wish I had a picture to show you.

Would sooner had a natural tree limb for male but this is what I got 25yrs ago.Bark on tree with female is up side down.
