i am just getting into trapping and i was wondering if Victor #2 coilsprings would work for trapping raccoons.

Work? Yes but far from the best coon trap on the market. In my opinion the 1.5 is a much better coon trap.

Without getting graphic, which really drives the moderator nuts, a #2 coil, when closed over a coon foot, leaves too much room under the jaws for a coon to do dirty work.

Had a skunk and opossum do the dirty work on a #2 trap I would say for coon a 1.5 itll work for fox also.
