I think the Gore-Tex boots are OK if you step in a puddle once every 1/2 hour. But I have yet to find a Gore-tex boot that will keep your feet dry more than an few minutes in constant contact with wet grass fields. The Muck Wetlands are the best rubber boots I have had for walking. But they do get hot.
