I'm sure this has been discussed before but has anyone had any success using just a regular white light or spotlight?

Sure have. And i called a double on coyotes about a month back now where we shot the one and called the other back in for my cousin to shoot. I have been using white for the last few years and havent noticed a problems with callins dropping off
