Every morning that I sit in my tree stand I hear wings whistling every now and then while something is flying in the dark. The area I hunt has lots of thick cover and overgrown pasture areas. Am I correct in assuming this is the sound of woodcock flying?

A woodcock's wings whistle when they take off, but I don't think I've heard them whistle while in flight or passing over. Could it be wood ducks, mallards or teal?
