Was really pleased that my Son's 5th grade was given this book to read.

Given the nonsense in today's society the story is a perfect balance of family, hard work, love for the hunt and a boy and his dogs.

I highly recommend it for all ages... great story

A true classic. I read it in school 40 years ago and still have my own copy. More kids need to read books like this instead of the crap on the internet. Today they would probably try to make a reality show out of it.

I used that book for about four different book reports in elementary/middle school. I have to find it and read it again... It's probably been 20 years.
