I can't think of a word other than idiot for a person who doesn't believe that hunter pressure/presence adversely affects deer sightings. I don't gun hunt my favorite bow hunting spot because there is a "crew" of yahoos who hunt it fairly heavily the first week of gun. I had a doe permit I wanted to try and fill so went out there the last Thursday of gun season. I never saw a deer, or another hunter, dark to dark. Now, I was in a tree from which I saw 14 bucks and 28 doe one particular day of bow season (my best sighting day ever). I checked my Bowhunter Sighting Log (NYSDEC) for that area...during bow season I had 80 stand hours, saw 25 bucks, 74 doe and 10 other.
