Of the Steelers keeping Burress? If he worked cheap? He's kind of a punk, but he's been pretty quiet and it would save the Steelers from using a mid or late round pick on a WR who would be probably fourth on the depth chart. I think he could be one of the better fourth receivers in the league (fifth, if you count Heath).

Well, if he worked cheap enough, I'd keep him. I know his upside is limited but I think he can be more effective than a mid round rookie pick.

He caught what 3-4 passes in 4 -5 games one td only because Heath was out.......mid round talent can be surprising...also the guys on practice squad...plus we have Cothery

another plus for plexico is that he's a veteran who's been "tested under fire" in the nfl. it's not like keeping him is a "shot in the dark" like some rookie. and he's proven he can come back after "taking a shot." his salary would also be lees than a hi round draft pick, alot of "bang" for the buck. keeping him might provide some more "firepower" for the offense, another tool in the steeler "arsenal."

That's true. See Ward, Hines as evidence. A third rounder who nobody ever gave a chance turned out to become the greatest receiver in franchise history, and one of the top Steelers at any position, due to his willingness to work hard and ability to behead Ray Ray.
