At my house, I am able to plant about 250 ft by 40 ft on the edge that gets good sunlight. Its in a funnel that connects 2 large areas that I hunt. Becaue of the wife I don't hunt near it. I've planted clover before & last year brassicas, which grew great. I got over-run by that "mile a minute weed " & in the last 2 weeks sprayed everything except the areas where I have good clover. What would be the best thing to plant this ate to keep the deer moving through come fall? Thanks in advance

Probably not too late for more brassica, or later, winter wheat or rye.

It just depends on the weather. Make sure if you do brassicas, add 46-0-0 at planting to give it a boost. 100-200 lbs per acre.

By your location, I'm assuming you are in Delaware County, and my response is based on that.

I mowed down the buckwheat and put in essex rape and turnips in yesturday. I also got a bag of red(branson) winter wheat but I need to wait till the grass is killed in that plot. I just had to chase the turkeys out of it for the third time. Hope they leave me a little seed.
