Just bought a Scropyd 125. Shoots at 360ft/sec, 110 ft/lb. 100 grain tips. Like everyone else, I want to shoot another bear.
I was very interested in Rage 40KE but one guy says they will open in flight,??? I like the idea of the 1.5" cut to slip between the ribs compared to the 2" cut.
I emailed Rage and she said --
"They will work fine out of a crossbow.
They should not deploy until impact.
They are the same head as the 2” cut, just shorter blades"

Has anyone used these in crossbows ??
Where can I get them, Cabelas is a back order until the end of Oct !!

I've shot them in crossbows numerous times and in several different brands of crossbows. I can tell you for fact that they will deploy the instant the trigger breaks.....not every time....but enough times that I would never use them in a crossbow.
If you must use a mechanical, try the Wasp Jak-Hammer SST. You can double band them and they fly good. I've also been testing the G5 T3 and have yet to have one deploy before it hit the target, even at 366 f.p.s. It flys excellent.
