Just curious what the majority will be shooting this Archery Deer Season.

I've shot the G5 Tekans for the last 3 years and have no complaints about them but just curious how many guys prefer rage or something else over them.

This has been covered recently, but the only thing allowed in my quiver is Magnus Stingers and Slick Tricks.

They still make Rage?

I just bought 3 packs of 3 for a total of 9 New 100 gr Muzzy MX 3s for $39.....I can wait to see the blood trail these are supposed to produce. The old Muzzy 3 blades in 115 gr did a great job but these are to be even better...

I'll be shooting 2 blade Rage. I just don't see how you could go wrong. Field point accuracy, two inch holes, awesome blood trails. I've heard naysayers point out penetration, reliability, and most recently the thoughts the sub-par bowhunters rely on the big holes to compensate for poor shooting skills and that they shouldn't make them that big because it draws that crowd (I'm not even gonna remark on that, just a waste of time.)
For me, until the broadhead lets me down and an animal is lost after a decent shot...I'll be shooting Rage. Haven't had a deer make it past 80yds or had any issues with pass throughs or blood trails.

I have never lost a animal since I started using rage 2 blade broadheads they make tracking easy. As for penetration my little brother uses them as well on a 50 lb draw weight and still gets great penetration and hasnt had a deer go more than 100 yards. I have thought about trying slicktricks or montec g5 but havent had a reason to change.

Changed from 100gr. Muzzy 3 blades to 100 gr Grim Reapers. Every deer I've shot with the muzzys had poor blood trails, even on complete pass through shots. Deer would travel 100 or so yards, and would hardly bleed externally. Gets old tracking a dead deer 100 yards following a drop of blood here or there. Haven't heard anything bad about the grim reapers so we'll see.

magnus stingers 4 blade 100 grain, can't beat them they fly true and they have a lifetime warranty. I bought two dozen 4 years ago and have not had to purchase any more. Every year I just send back the damaged ones and they ship me new ones.

I used rage 2's last year. They got the job done and i think at first i was overly excited about them because they helped me shoot my biggest buck to date, but the more i thought about it the more i became less and less a fan of them as the season played over and over through my mind. I too was thinking about trying slick tricks and about a month ago i broke down and bought 2 packs. Man am i impressed. These things really do fly like field points and i dont have any of the mechanical anxiety that i had with the rages. (opening in my quiver, opening on the shaft when walking and still hunting, opening in flight, poor penetration) If you give them a try, you wont be disappointed.
