Just looking for everyones input on waterproof pants. Booked for Newfoundland in 2011, was up there last fall. Would like to be able to wear one pair of pants. Last trip wore mil surplus rainwear over regular pants.
I have a pair of Cabelas's silent suede dry-plus pants in the uninsulated style. These are tough enough to wear in the PA mountains without having to worry about ripping them, fairly quiet, and waterproof/windproof. Plus they are cut and fit like jeans, not like an rain over suit.
