There is an old grouse management area up there that hasn't been touched in years. We are planning to do some projects in the area this coming year. Do you have any ideas?
Add me to this list, too! Is Mark Banker, RGS, or somebody from the PA Forest Stewards involved in this training? I mean who's offering the training? it sounds neat, and I want to attend, but I want to know there's some 'meat' behind the training. Sincerely, wlhab@windstream.net.
Just to keep interest high, here is the working agenda:
- Managing Habitat for Ruffed Grouse and American Woodcock
- Species of Concern and Landowner Assistance Programs
- WHIP and other USDA Programs for Wildlife
- Choosing Your Wildlife Plantings
- Timber Management A, B, C’s
- Covered Bridge Chapter Habitat Outreach
- PGC Landowner Programs
- Local Habitat Management in Practice
I just want to thank everyone who helped put this seminar on. My sister and I learned a lot of great info. on habitat improvement. We will very soon use want we learned from this seminar on our 67 acres. Thank You!
I just wished more people would come to these FREE seminars.
I'm not a landowner but am a Washington county resident willing to lend a hand where necessary. Let me know
