Hey guys, I was wondering how these are actually made. We make sausage and jerky every year, but I wanted to try something different. Any recipes or actual process on how to make them would be great. Thanks!

Yeah my buddy gave me some and that is why I'm interested. I just want to make my own and dont really know how to do it.

Use Google for a Recipe if you want to make them yourself...

There are a few recipes out there... all calling for the meat to be ground a few times...

I've made them in the past....each time I ground the meat, I made logs out of the meat that was just a bit smaller then the hole of the gringer and sat them in the freezer to set up a bit... I did 4 grindings total...


then all you do is mix in the spices called for and then stuff in casings and smoke or par-boil if called for and you got hot dogs!
