Looks like a type of Bolete to me. Would have to see the underside, but it it's a Bolete (some call it Porcini) it will have pores and not gills. MOST are edible and a "choice" mushroom, however make sure you have the correct type.
We find King Boletes here where I am in Montana at this time of the year, from 5000 to 8000 feet, or so (I haven't looked higher). They look similar to what you show, but I'm not the expert in identifying them (my neighbor, and best friend does the identifications). There are other Bolete species here also, some good and some not, but I can tell you the King Bolete is absolutely wonderful eating!
