I get occasional hang fires with my T/C Triumph. I am using Blackhorn 209 and CCI 209 shotgun primers. I clean the flash channels by inserting a 1/8 drill bit as was recommended and a lot of crud does come out. I got a hang fire at the range yesterday on the second shot.
Is there a different breech plug to use in the Triumph as they do with the CVA's?
Any help would be appreciated.

What bullets? Only reason I ask is if you’re using Powerbelts I’ve had similar experiences and I use CCI magnum primers.

Try the Winchester W209 primer. They will have a tighter "head space" fit between the plug and frame. I bet your primers are coming out a little dirty around the sides and inside the action.

I was using CCI 209 primers. I cannot find CCI-M but I did find Federal 209A primers, which I'm told are hotter. I'm going to the range Friday for a final tune up..

I noticed that breech is easier to lock up than it used to be. It doesn't take as much pressure to open or close. Is there an adjustment or is the breech plug the problem?
