When I was in High school about 7-8 years ago, my dad brought me a ol' man tree stand. Well it was the Grand Ol' Man cause I was a bigger kid. But Still use it to this day.
I dont have any other to compare it to, other then my cousins 1928 all metal model that was noisey and bulky, But if I have to replace this stand, I'll be looking back into the OL' Man treestands to see if they are still in business.
