I was wondering if I should put sticks around my traps like a guid to my trap for the fox?

Not much. You can't guide fox / coyotes like you can a bobcat. You have to use very subtle guiding. A pebble here, a small stick or grass stem there and that's about it.

x2 if they dont get caught the first time or the second time they come through, then maybe they will the third time. Too much guiding will create suspicion, and they wont feel comfortable working your set. Use subtle guiding like very small natural objects from the surrounding area, and maybe even create a passthrough set trap within a 18" or so if you don't pick anything up within a week or two.

i use whats left in my sifter to form a ridge on the left side of my dirt hole around trap jaw.forces fox to work set from right side.95% of my fox are caught by the left foot.they need to place it on pan to get at the hole
