I've been lucky enough to finally purchase a cabin for my family. Were in the underwriting stage now and should hopefully close in the next month.

While I patiently wait what three items couldn't you live without at your camp? Some ideas may stem from this

KeystoneMan85,
Sense you are just acquiring your property I will give you these 3 as very important. 1. Good Roof on your buildings, 2. Complete plumbing, including working septic or sewage, 3. Electricity either standard utilities or generator.
Good luck with your new place.

My camp is primitive, Wood heat, gas lights and water carried inside from stream or hand dug well. But the one thing it does have, and I couldn't stay long at camp with out, is a indoor hot shower.

After a lot of years and camps,
#1 , a dryer...stuffs always wet at camp, towels, clothes from rainy days, you cando without a washer, but the dryer is nice.
#2 , a wood stove....even with another heat source it makes a camp feel like a camp.
#3 , a decent backstop to be able to shoot while there.
Enjoy!

If you are going with the family:
Clean water.....Heat.....Food

If you are going alone:
Jack Daniels.....Millers Hot Bologna....a Radio
With those three things I could stay at camp forever ! LOL!
Enjoy your new place.
