i took my youngest out today to make a few beaver sets and found not so good conditions

we did manage to see this guy on the walk out

then we went and hung a few cables for a coyote ,which i would rather not catch but the boy loves to see

so i'll resign myself to waiting till we get some good ice, then get the chainsaw out and start setting for a while .

That cable is so perfectly loaded I think you must have Photoshopped it!
they came from the snare master himself , newt !that spot had yote tracks in it the last 4 days , nothing this morning so we opened the path up a little ,really expecting good things in the next few days .

Great pics! Yep, the beaver trapping is kind of screwed up now due to thin ice. The temperature is supposed to really plunge next week so we should have safe ice by the first weekend in January.
