Anyone on the river this weekend may want to change your plans. Heavy rain to the North will be impacting the river basin starting tomorrow early. Do not walk in to your spots without a good plan. This is forecasted to be very quick rising. Forecast shows 5 feet by 9am and rising fast. Please be careful !!!

I was planning on Hunting the Susky in clearfield co. Tomorrow. Ain't no way now. Raging Rapids. Might have to switch gears and hunt geese, hoping the high waters push them off the river and onto farm fields/ponds.

.I just came from the river 5 min ago near Hbg and no change. Still as low as it's been. These river forecasters always over predict the height on there first prediction. Yesterday they forecasted almost 9' at hbg and now have moved it to a crest of 5'7".monday evening. The wind was not bad this morning till now and still not that bad. Maybe long level would be rough.

Back at the river still no change in water level. I hope it comes up a little sure could use some water
It's amazing how off the River forecasts were last evening. I watch the West Branch of the Susky, near Renovo cause our Camp is up there. Went from a predicted 11.3 feet, down to 7 feet.

Funny they were showing that because I did not see that. However at Harrisburg river is narrow after it leaves Harrisburg River gets wider so the effect won't be near as fast. You have to remember those guys are sitting in state college in front of a computer. I am actually at the River just south of Harrisburg. I am back at my scouting spot at the river and it looks like it came up about 2 feet and went back down about 6 inches overnight. It's about perfect height right now.

We were above Harrisburg and at 8 am the river started coming up fast, by 9am it was up 2 feet. Had we walked or canoed out we would have been in trouble. Better to head the caution and not get in trouble. It's just a duck.
