The birds don't know any better. Try putting a sign on it that says it's just for the squirrels. Problem solved.

Now I don't feel so bad. I have put corn out for squirrels and chipmunks and the deer keep eating it. I put a sign up to no avail. Deer can't read where I live.

Gotta admit...kinda embarrassed. Just learned I've been using bird seed the wrong way.

No wonder I couldn't get the darn birds to grow !!!

I thought maybe I was planting the seeds too deep.

Well, you are among the minority. If you ask anybody who hunts in the special reg's areas, they will tell you the deer know what those yellow things are on the trees and what they say.
